Prepared with a simple homemade beef patty, these bacon cheeseburgers will be the star of any Fourth of July cookout. Your guests with love all the scrumptious toppings — creamy provolone and blue cheese, zesty buffalo sauce and sweet roasted red peppers.

Burgers

1½ lbs Lean Ground Beef
1 tbsp Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Beef Base
1 small Onion
1 clove Garlic
3 tbsp Ketchup
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp black pepper
6 slices Provolone cheese
6 Brioche burger buns
1 cup Baby arugula
6 slices Red onion
2 drained jarred roasted red peppers, sliced
12 strips bacon
0½ cup Crubled blue cheese
0½ cup Mayonnaise

Directions for Buffalo Sauce

    In small saucepan set over medium-low heat, cook hot sauce, butter, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce for 2 to 3 minutes or until slightly thickened.

Directions for Burgers

    Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grates well.

    In medium bowl, stir together beef, Premium Roasted Beef Base, onion, garlic, ketchup, Dijon, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper. Divide mixture into 6 portions and shape each into a 1/2-inch-thick patty.

    Grill burgers for 5 to 6 minutes or until well grilled marked. Flip and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Top with provolone and grill for 2 to 3 minutes or until cheese is starting to melt.

    Meanwhile, lightly spray burger buns with cooking spray and grill for 30 to 60 seconds or until lightly toasted.

    Spread bottom buns with buffalo sauce. Top with arugula, burger, onion, roasted peppers, bacon and blue cheese. Spread the top buns with mayo and cap burgers.

Tip: Substitute provolone cheese with slices of mozzarella or Swiss cheese if desired.
