Directions

  • 1

    Preheat oven to 400°F

  • 2

Cook sushi rice according to package directions, stirring 1 tsp Seasoned Vegetable Base into water before cooking. Let stand for 5 minutes. Drizzle rice with vinegar and mirin; using spatula, gently fold into rice.

  • 3

Meanwhile, in large bowl, stir together remaining 2 tsp Seasoned Vegetable Base, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic and half the green onions. Toss in salmon and cream cheese; toss to coat.

  • 4

Press seasoned sushi rice into well-greased 11 x 7-inch baking dish. Top evenly with salmon mixture along with any remaining marinade. Smooth top.

  • 5

Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until salmon is cooked through.

  • 6

In small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and hot sauce. Drizzle over top of sushi bake. Garnish with remaining green onions and, if using, sprinkle with toasted furikake.

  • 7

Serve sushi bake with nori, cucumber, avocado and mango, allowing diners to assemble sushi bake in nori and garnishing with toppings as desired.

Tips: For an extra-creamy sushi bake, stir ½ cup mayonnaise into salmon mixture in Step 3. Serve sushi bake with pickled ginger and wasabi if desired.
