Sautéed until rich and flavorful, these tasty mushrooms can be served as a side with grilled steak, pork chops or chicken.

Ingredients

| 3 tbsp | olive oil |
| 1 lb | small button mushrooms |
| ½ | small red pepper, diced |
| 1 | small onion, diced |
| 2 tbsp | Better Than Bouillon® Seasoned Vegetable Base |
| 3 cloves | garlic |
| 2 tsp | minced fresh thyme |
| 1 tsp | Italian seasoning |
| ⅓ cup | white wine |
| ¼ cup | torn fresh basil |
Directions
Heat oil in large skillet set over medium-high heat; cook mushrooms for 5 to 8 minutes or until slightly browned.
Stir in red pepper, onion, Seasoned Vegetable Base, garlic, thyme and Italian seasoning; cook for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown and tender.
Stir in white wine and 1/3 cup water; simmer for 1 to 2 minutes or until liquid is reduced by half. Stir in basil before serving.
Tip: Add a pinch of hot pepper flakes for a spicy addition.
