Grilled Pork Chops with Applesauce

This simple take on the classic pork and apple combo pairs grilled marinated pork chops with store-bought applesauce for summer-inspired flavors.

Ingredients

2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Garlic Base
2 tbsp finely chopped fresh thyme
2 tbsp cider vinegar
1 tbsp brown sugar
4 bone-in center-cut pork chops (each about 3/4-inch thick)
1 cup store-bought applesauce

Directions

    In bowl, stir together oil, Roasted Garlic Base, thyme, vinegar and brown sugar; toss with pork chops. Let stand for 10 minutes or refrigerate for up to 1 hour.

    Preheat grill to medium-high heat; grease grate well. Grill pork chops for 6 to 8 minutes per side or until well marked and just blush of pink remains in center, and internal temperature reaches 160°F. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

    Serve with applesauce.

Spike store-bought applesauce with a splash of bourbon, maple syrup and a pinch of ground cinnamon for jazzed-up flavor.
