Ingredients
Quantity | Ingredient |
---|---|
12 | large eggs, whisked |
2 cups | heavy cream, divided |
1 Tbsp | Better Than Bouillon® Roasted Garlic Base |
1 tsp | cracked black pepper |
6 | croissants (about 12 ounces) cut into 1-inch cubes |
3 cups | shredded Gruyere cheese |
⅓ cup | minced green onion |
8 oz | thinly sliced black forest ham |
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease a 9x13 inch pan, set aside.
Add the eggs, 1 ½ cups heavy cream, Roasted Garlic Base and black pepper to a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Add the croissants, cheese and green onions to the bowl and stir. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Pour the bread mixture into the prepared pan. Fold each slice of ham and tuck each slice into the bread mixture, leaving a few inches between each slice. Drizzle the remaining ½ cup of heavy cream over the mixture. Place the pan directly into the oven and bake for 40 minutes or until the egg has set.
Remove the strata from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
