Turkey Hand Pies

Pre-rolled puff pastry is filled with roast turkey, cranberry sauce and Brie cheese for an easy and elegant hand pie that’s loaded with holiday flavors. Serve with a simple green salad for dinner.

Ingredients

1 cup chopped leftover roast turkey
4 oz Brie cheese, cut into small cubes
⅓ cup cranberry sauce
2 tbsp Better Than Bouillon® Turkey Base
1 tbsp finely chopped fresh sage
1 egg
2 sheets frozen pre-rolled puff pastry (each about 10 inches square), thawed according to package directions

    Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss together turkey, Brie cheese, cranberry sauce, Roasted Turkey Base and sage; set aside. Beat egg with 2 tsp water; set aside.

    On lightly floured surface, cut each sheet of puff pastry into four 5-inch squares. Brush edges of 4 pastry squares with egg wash. Leaving 1-inch border, place 1/4 cup of turkey mixture in center of each pastry square; cap with remaining pastry square. Press edges of pastry together to enclose filling; seal edges with tines of fork.

    Brush tops and edges of pastry with remaining egg wash. Cut 2 small slits for steam vents in center of each hand pie. Transfer to parchment paper–lined baking sheet.

    Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.

Make smaller hand pies for a tasty appetizer, adjusting the baking time as needed.
